Issue No. 01: What If You're Already Richer Than You Think?

Consider This — Issue No. 01
What if you're already richer than you think?
We are moving deeper into 2026 and I keep returning to a question I can't shake: what does it actually mean to be rich right now?
Not the balance-sheet version. That conversation is everywhere. I mean the fuller kind. The kind that shows up in how your mornings feel, in whether your energy is yours at the end of a day, in what you've finally stopped saying yes to out of obligation.
The more I sit with it, the more I think we've been using an old definition. One that measures richness only in what's visible, the titles, the upgrades, the appearance of having it together. But there's another kind. The felt kind. The kind that lives in your margin, your ability to decline.
This issue is about that shift. About rewriting what we count, what we protect, and what we build quietly, deliberately, on our own terms.
I hope something here lands.

From the Journal
01 · Grown Woman IQ — The Other Kind of Rich
There's a version of financial confidence that has nothing to do with a number. It's the ability to make a decision without panic, to say no to something that costs more than it returns, to feel the difference between funding a life and financing an appearance. That's what this piece is really about. Not a wealth plan — a wealth posture. The kind that comes from knowing what you're building and why.
02 · The Second Act — Ambition Rewritten
At some point ambition stops being about proving something and starts being about choosing something. That's a quieter shift than most people expect. Less declaration, more discernment. The women navigating this most successfully aren't the ones who left everything behind. They're the ones who got honest about what their capability was actually worth — and stopped giving it away to places that couldn't meet them there.
03 · Style — The Quiet Edit
Curation is a practice before it's a result. What you choose to bring into your life — the things you reach for repeatedly, the ones that earn their place season after season, says something about how you see yourself and what you're building toward. This month's edit is seven things. Not a shopping list. A set of signals for the season you're entering.
Yes & No This Week
Yes to — quiet mornings. No phone, no noise, no messages first. Before summer fills every hour, I'm protecting the first one. Non-negotiable.
No to — being everywhere all at once. After-hour emails, working on off days, the performance of constant availability. You are allowed to be unreachable.
Worth Having
Bringing in expertise. There's a point where discipline alone is simply not enough. This season I've invested in a strength trainer and a run coach, not because I couldn't keep going on my own, but because improvement at this level requires a different kind of knowledge. Knowing when to seek expertise is its own form of intelligence.
Rosé season is here. VieVité Sainte Marie Côtes de Provence Rosé pulled from my Vivino tasting archives and immediately added to the standing inventory for an easy selection. Light, precise, and exactly what a Provence rosé should be. Truthfully, rosé is always in season. This is just the time of year the mainstream catches up.
