The Reset — Setting the Pace
This reset is about choosing your rhythm on purpose, instead of letting the season set it for you.

One week May still feels open. The next, your calendar is full of dinners, weekend plans, and decisions you don't remember agreeing to.
The solstice hits in June, but May is where the pace gets set. The light stretches, the invitations begin to stack, and the days get louder before you've had a chance to decide what you want from the season. Most people arrive in summer already behind and exhausted.
This reset is about choosing your rhythm on purpose, instead of letting the season set it for you.
For me, it looks like starting my workouts earlier, before the heat makes excuses easy. It also means making one small refresh that signals the season has turned — not an overhaul, just one thing that makes May feel like yours.
That's the standard: one deliberate choice in each area of your life, set on your terms.
Before the reset, say the quiet part out loud. The calendar has been setting your rhythm instead of you. The "I'll start in June" delay is already costing you time you won't get back. And the spending that shows up when you're tired and not paying attention is still spending.
Carry into summer a morning rhythm that protects the rest of your day, consistency in your body instead of intensity, and one maintenance move that feels steady rather than corrective.
Choose one or two reset points that meet you where May is.
Home
The goal is a signal, not a refresh. One cleared surface changes the mood of an entire space more than a full reorganization ever will. One seasonal swap (linen, scent, or lighting) tells the room the season has shifted. Small and deliberate beats ambitious and abandoned every time.
Agenda
Before summer fills it for you, decide what this season is for. Choose one protected block that makes the next three months livable, and remove one commitment that doesn't belong in your May lens. Your agenda should reflect your priorities, not just your availability.
Body
Set your summer training reality now: the earliest realistic start time, and the bedtime that makes it possible. Skip the aspirational version. Pick the one you'll keep. Pair it with one recovery commitment: stretch, hydration, mobility, or a rest day that stays on the calendar. Consistency over intensity. That's the only standard worth setting.
Table
Plan one simple table moment, even for two, or just yourself. A meal that's generous without becoming complicated. Create one signature detail that makes this month feel like yours: a bottle, a playlist, a candle, flowers. One detail only. The rest follows from there.
Money
Make one money move that sets you up for summer. Identify something you're funding that no longer serves the life you're living now, and redirect what it costs somewhere named. The move doesn't have to be large. It has to be named.
May doesn't need a transformation — just one decision, made on your terms rather than the season's.
“That is the reset. It was always going to be enough.”
